100ℓ/hour 5 Stage Borehole Filtration System

Stage 1 – pH Correction:
The water flows through a FRP (Fiberglass reinforced plastic) vessel filled with limestone. The
limestone is dissolved into the water to lift the pH, calcium, magnesium and alkalinity of the water.
This will stabilize the water and prevent it from being corrosive to the plumbing system of the
house. This filter will be flushed automatically by the Auto filter vale. The Auto Control Valve is a
digital valve that is situated on top of the media vessel and it can be programmed to backwash and
rinse at set intervals.

Stage 2 – Zeolite Filter
Zeolite removes any particle bigger than 3 - 5 micron from the water. It will remove any turbidity
from the water and is flushed automatically by the Auto filter valve. The Auto Control Valve is a
digital valve that is situated on top of the media vessel and it can be programmed to backwash and
rinse at set intervals.

Stage 3 – Multi Media

The third stage consists out of a FRP vessel filled with multi-media and a regeneration tank filled
with brine. This stage removes heavy metals like iron and manganese, tannins, ammonia and
hardness from the water. The media uses brine to recharge the media when its capacity is
exhausted. The filter is also flushed with an Auto Softener Valve which is a digital valve that is
situated on top of the media vessel and it can be programmed to backwash, rinse and regenerate
at set intervals.

Stage 4 – Activated Carbon
Activated Carbon removes bad odors, tastes, organics, pesticides, hormones, light metals etc. from
the water. It does this by absorption and is flushed automatically by a digital valve that is situated
on top of the media vessel which can be programmed to backwash and rinse at set intervals.

Stage 5 – Triple 20” Filter system with UV
The first filter contains a 20" blown melt 1 micron cartridge to remove any sediment, silt, clay, rust
etc. from the water. The second filter contains a 20" ultra-filter which filters the water down to 0.2
micron. The third filter contains a refillable cartridge filled with Siliphos which is a phosphate based
media. This media dissolves into the water and prevents the water from depositing scale or being
corrosive to metal surfaces. The last stage is a stainless steel UV sterilizer which kills 99.9% of all
bacteria, viruses, fungi, mould, yeasts, pathogens etc. in the water.

STAGE 2: Ultra Filter – 0.2 micron

STAINLESS STEEL ULTRA VIOLET REACTOR
STAGE 4: 40Watt Stainless Steel UV Sterilizer – Chemical free water treatment to disinfect
water of viruses and microbes. Manufactured from 304 Stainless Steel. Provides
high flow rates with minimal pressure drop.

MAINTENANCE:

REPLACEMENT OF FILTER CARTRIDGES

1. Sediment Cartridges – Replace every 6 months
2. Ultra Filter Membrane – Replace every 6 months
3. Siliphos – Replace after every 200 000L water (or as needed)

REPLACEMENT OF ULTRA VIOLET LAMP

1. The UV Lamp needs to be replaced annually
